Studying in Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main is continental Europe's banking centre (ECB, Deutsche Börse, major banks) and home to Germany's busiest airport. Goethe-Universität and Frankfurt UAS sit in a compact high-rise downtown surrounded by the Green Belt (Grüngürtel). It is not a classic 'university town' like Heidelberg — students live among commuters and expats.

Bockenheim and Sachsenhausen are student-heavy; Westend is pricier. The RMV network reaches Darmstadt and Mainz for overflow housing. Trade fairs (Messeturm area) can spike short-term rents — sign proper student leases. English is common in finance districts; university administration is bilingual-friendly.
