1. What this policy covers
This Refund Policy applies to one-time purchases of Pro and Pro Plus on YourWeg, processed by our payment provider Dodo Payments. Payments are per intake (application cycle): they are not recurring subscriptions. Buying Pro or Pro Plus for a new intake is a separate purchase.
Current list prices are shown in the product at checkout and in your account billing area (at the time of writing: Pro €4.99 per intake; Pro Plus €11.99 per intake). Prices include VAT where applicable.
2. What you pay for
Your payment unlocks the features and limits of the purchased plan for your current intake as described on our website at the time of purchase (for example, higher programme visibility limits, re-match runs, export, and related tier benefits). YourWeg remains an informational tool; it does not guarantee admission, scholarships, or visa outcomes — see our Terms of Service.
3. When we issue a refund
We will approve a refund in the following situations:
- Duplicate charge: The same plan was charged twice in error for the same intake. We will refund the duplicate amount.
- Payment succeeded but access was not activated: You completed payment and, after a reasonable check on your side (refresh, re-login), your account still does not reflect the purchased plan. Contact us promptly so we can fix it; if we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we will refund the payment.
- Withdrawal / cooling-off (where applicable): If you are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal under EU or German consumer law and you exercise it in time and in accordance with the law, we will honour that right. If you wish to withdraw, email [email protected] from your account email without delay. For digital services, statutory exceptions may apply once delivery has begun with your consent; nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
- Goodwill — limited use: If you contact us within 14 days of the successful payment and you have not materially used paid-only features after upgrading (for example: re-match runs, CSV export of your shortlist, or the personalised scholarship shortlist), we may approve a discretionary refund. We assess each request fairly; abuse or repeated claims may be declined.
4. When we do not issue a refund
We typically cannot refund:
- Purchases where the paid plan has already been materially used as described above, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Requests made because outcomes depended on universities, scholarship bodies, or immigration authorities (YourWeg does not control those decisions).
- Chargebacks filed with your bank or card issuer before you have given us a chance to respond to a support request, except where you are exercising a statutory right or required by law.
- Violations of our Terms (for example fraud, abuse, or account termination for cause) where a refund would be inconsistent with law or our Terms.
5. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your YourWeg account. Use the subject line Refund request and include:
- Your account email and (if you have it) the payment or receipt reference from Dodo or your bank statement.
- Plan purchased (Pro or Pro Plus) and approximate date of payment.
- A short description of the reason (e.g. duplicate charge, access issue, withdrawal, or limited use within 14 days).
We may ask for additional information to verify the transaction and prevent fraud.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method used for the purchase, unless that is technically impossible (in which case we will propose a reasonable alternative). Timing depends on your bank or card issuer; it often takes 5–10 business days after we process the refund on our side. If Dodo Payments or your payment provider charges non-refundable fees, those are outside our control.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. For purchases made before an update, the version in effect at the time of your purchase applies unless a mandatory law says otherwise.
