1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using YourWeg ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
2. Use License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use in finding and applying to educational programmes in Germany.
- Service Scope: Information provided is for guidance and does not guarantee admission.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Data Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the profile creation process.
3. Intellectual Property
The content, organisation, graphics, design, compilation, digital conversion, and other matters related to the Platform are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights.
4. Limitation of Liability
YourWeg and its suppliers shall not be held liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the Platform.
Important: Admission decisions are solely at the discretion of the respective German universities. YourWeg is a support tool and does not act as an admissions office.
Important: YourWeg does not guarantee admission, scholarships, visa outcomes, funding approval, or any specific result. Match scores and recommendations are informational estimates based on the profile details and programme/scholarship data available to us at the time.
Programme Recommendations
- No guarantee: Programme matches, rankings, and tiers do not guarantee admission, interview calls, or offer letters.
- Data may change: University admission criteria, language requirements, tuition details, and deadlines may change at any time by the university.
- Third-party decisions: Final admission decisions are made solely by universities and admissions committees, not by YourWeg.
- User responsibility: You are responsible for verifying official programme requirements and submitting complete, accurate applications by the university's deadlines.
Scholarship Recommendations
- No guarantee: Scholarship matches, rankings, and shortlists do not guarantee eligibility, interview selection, or scholarship award.
- Data may change: Scholarship eligibility criteria, benefits, deadlines, and application rules may change at any time by the scholarship provider.
- Third-party decisions: Final decisions are made solely by scholarship providers, not by YourWeg.
- User responsibility: You are responsible for verifying official scholarship requirements and submitting complete, accurate applications by the provider's deadlines.
5. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend our service, and any service or material we provide on the Platform, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the Platform is unavailable at any time or for any period.
6. User Content
"User Content" refers to any documents, data, or information you upload to the Platform (e.g. degree certificates, transcripts, APS certificates, IELTS reports). You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process this data solely to provide the services you have requested. We do not use your User Content for training machine learning models or for any purpose beyond operating the Platform.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease. You may also terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany for the resolution of any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
9. Data Processing
YourWeg acts as the Data Controller for all personal data you provide. We process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Our primary lawful basis for processing your academic profile and uploaded documents is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) — processing is necessary to deliver the programme-matching and application-tracking service you have signed up for.
You have rights under GDPR Articles 15–22, including the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. These rights can be exercised via Settings → Plan & data (export), Settings → Notifications (email preferences), Privacy (legal links and contacts), or by emailing [email protected].
10. Sub-processors
To deliver the Platform, YourWeg uses trusted third-party sub-processors including Supabase (database and storage), Resend (email), PostHog (product analytics), Google (web analytics / tag management, when enabled), Dodo Payments (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Each sub-processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement. A full and up-to-date list is maintained at /legal/data-processing.
We will notify you of any material changes to our sub-processor list where required by applicable law.
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary. Specifically:
- Account and profile data are deleted when you close your account.
- Uploaded documents are deleted when you remove them or close your account.
- Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by German commercial law (HGB §257).

12. Fees, payments, and refunds
Pro and Pro Plus are one-time purchases per intake (not recurring subscriptions). Prices and entitlements are shown at checkout and in your account. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments.
Refunds — including duplicate charges, access issues after payment, statutory withdrawal rights where applicable, and our discretionary rules for limited use — are described in our Refund Policy. Nothing in the Refund Policy limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
