Studying in Tübingen

Tübingen is a medieval university town on the Neckar in Baden-Württemberg. Universität Tübingen is among Germany's oldest and elite (Excellence Initiative). The Altstadt, punt boats on the Neckar, and hilltop Schloss define the postcard view. Industry is limited — Stuttgart is the nearest big labour market. BW tuition rules apply for some non-EU students.

Almost everything is walking or cycling distance — parking is irrelevant. Housing is scarce relative to demand; treat hall applications as mandatory. The Stocherkahn (punt) races are a spring tradition. Nightlife is pub-scale, not club-scale. International students integrate through faculty institutes and college-style halls.
